Wave Player

Text Box: Wave Player Pro facilitates transcription of  digital sound files while controlling them with a foot pedal or VCR-style buttons. The foot pedal controls the play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward functions; and function keys can be reassigned according to need. Volume and Speed controls, along with adjustable Rewind/Fast Forward, and selectable Auto-Backspace, allow full control of voice files.

Wave Player Pro is compatible with a wide selection of popular file formats, including .mp3 .wav, .wma, and True Speech.  As new file formats are added to future releases of Wave Player Pro, they will be available in the form of upgrades.

Text Box: Wave Player Pro makes workflow easy. Simply select and download, or automatically receive routed voice files from our secure Web Server (HIPAA compliant), to be transcribed locally. Extensive Microsoft Word interaction facilitates file management,  eliminates drudgery, and reduces clutter. Word documents are automatically created and named using the voice file name, making reconciliation easy. All transcribed documents are automatically delivered.
Wave Player Pro sends documents and receives voice files via a secure, encrypted Internet connection. The demographic data collected by DSS Transport and DVI Transport are presented to the user within the name of the voice file and on a variety of places within Wave Player Pro, such as the current To Do List Document History Table and Work Statistics Table. This file distribution model increases productivity, in some cases as much as 30%, making Wave Player Pro an indispensable tool for today’s PC based Audio Transcription.

System Requirements:
Most of the Docs in a Row software suite can run on the current generation of computers available in today’s market.  As of the time that this file was composed, a basic computer configuration would be one with an Intel Celeronฎ processor clocked at a speed of 1.8GHz and 512mb of memory. The motherboard and operating system should have USB and/or serial port capabilities so that a variety of peripherals can be used.  Microsoft Windows 2000ฎ or Windows XPฎ should be used as the Operating System, because of their inherent robustness and reliability and increased capabilities in dealing with Intranet and Internet connectivity issues.  Although the programs occupy a very small amount of hard drive space, capacity should be at least 4-8 GB for storage for voice, database, and related files.  A Sound Blasterฎ compatible sound card is required. As for video, a VGA monitor and video card combination that can run at a screen resolution no less than 800 X 600 and a colour quality of 16 bit or greater.
We do encourage all users of our software to have a DSL connection or better. This will greatly enhance the quality.  Although the software will work with a modem connection, this would be painfully slow, and users have to be aware that many ISPs have issues maintaining a prolonged connection.
